Our Values

We believe everyone deserves access to services.

We strive to make therapy as accessible as possible to all people. Some ways that we put this into action include offering sliding scale, working towards partnering with insurance companies, and offering telehealth services. We also strive to have office space that is physically accessible and that feels safe and comfortable for everyone.

We are dedicated to equity, collective liberation, and fighting oppression in all its forms.

We recognize that oppression is intersectional, institutional, and pervasive throughout our culture. We strive to be aware of our own biases and limitations, and continue to unlearn internalized and implicit bias. We uphold anti-racist values and actively oppose white supremacy culture.

We are lifelong learners and are dedicated to providing high quality therapy.

We regularly participate in training and consultations so we can continue to improve as therapists. When you come to Trillium for therapy, you are receiving the support of not just your therapist but also the consultation of all therapists at Trillium, as well as the expertise of outside supervisors, consultation groups, trainings, and readings. We recognize that mental health is always an evolving field and no one is ever done learning.

We know that we heal best when we have community.

Trillium is a collective because we believe that our best work is done when we are supported by other therapists. We also believe that everyone deserves to have a community that rallies behind them. We are honored to be a part of that community for our clients and to help connect them with other community supports.
